I believe in fate, and that things happen for a reason.
I got my first camera for my 18th birthday. I was able to have a lot of fun as it was beginner friendly which cemented my love for photography. After gradating with a degree I moved to the great city of Bristol which is where I am still based. My first taste of employment was in the wedding dress industry and shortly after I was offered a job in a photography studio. I found myself surrounded by many successful photographers and stylists. My curiosity started taking an interest in the wedding industry as my fellow colleagues praised the atmosphere and reward from their work.
I always loved to present clients with their photographs, wall pieces and albums when they came into the studio to collect. I always gained a huge sense of fulfilment every time I saw the joy on their faces and how good we had made them feel. One time I sat next to this lady, Libi was her name, which turns out to mean “my heart”! She was gazing through her album presenting herself and her partner. Like the others her face was filled with overwhelming happiness and accompanied with some tears she repeated “Thank you I love them!”
In that moment a thought entered my head. These photographs are making such a positive impact on peoples lives, and these are only everyday photoshoots. I started to link together all the dots that led me to this moment. The wedding dress industry, the photography industry, Libi, and I had an epiphany - I want to give the happiness that wedding photography brings.
